(10 points) Why does our subconscious demand for certain things?

Speaking colloquially, your "ego" is running away with you. You're letting yourself want things so badly that you're getting unduly upset when you can't have them. Everyone has a part of themselves that's very demanding, but it's supposed to be balanced by another part of you that understands what's rational. Sometimes that part of a person--the rational part, that says "no" to the demanding part--isn't as developed as it could be, OR if you're being denied what you want a lot (and are hardly ever getting what you want) that part of your brain that regulates the demanding part is, for lack of a better word, tired, and isn't doing its job very well. You may also be a very intense person-- an all or nothing sort of person. Sometimes people like that have a harder time regulating their desires. If you are putting that much stock in material things, you're probably not very happy on the whole. You may be trying to find things to make life worthwhile (like material things), and if you can't get them, you feel like there's nothing else good in the world. To be happier, you should try to focus on some things you CAN have, and get yourself small things that are possible for you to get your hands on. Also, maybe focus on your feelings more. How do you feel about life in general? Are things okay with you?
