Did Miami over-achieve?

Given their poor and oft injured supporting cast and lack of any strategic edge (I'm looking at you Spoelstra!), I think they did as well as could be reasonably expected coming within 2 games of the titles. But the hate and expectations were never reasonable from the beginning.
