How would i attract garter snakes into my yard?

ive been trying to find garter snake in my yard for akmost a week now and i just had a thot what if the garter snakes found about my yard i Know that they live in this area cuz ive seen tuns in my freinds yard so if u have any suggjestions on how to get them in my yard plz answer
